How does a web design agency compare to a website builder?
A builder costs less upfront but you pay every month and build it yourself: Wix lists its plans at $17 to $159 a month on yearly billing (US prices, before tax), against a one-off £495 or $625 for our Starter site plus your own hosting. Squarespace's Basic plan also takes a 2% transaction fee on online store sales. A builder suits a simple brochure site you are happy to make alone; a studio is the better call when the site has to bring in revenue, because you get bespoke design, faster performance, real SEO and a team doing the work. How much does a website cost?
Our fixed-price packages start at £495 for a Starter site, £1,495 for a Business site, and from £3,995 for Premium e-commerce or custom builds. Starter and Business can be bought online; larger projects are quoted.
How long does it take to build a website?
1 to 3 weeks for most websites. A Starter site of 1 to 5 pages is typically live in about 7 days, a Business site of up to 15 pages in 2 to 3 weeks, and Premium builds get a timeline with their quote.
